Day 15: March 15th, 2020

Slow Sunday…

Today is a slow Sunday. I can’t remember the last time we had one. No where to be, social distancing dictates that even church is cancelled. Although mass was live casted. Even the Archdiocese has to be creative and flexible during this crisis.

Just a slow Sunday. I am embracing this. No school lunches to plan for the week ahead. No need to rush laundry. No meals to prep for busy week nights. In fact I have several tasks going on at once, baking cookies, sorting the border pieces out of a 2000 piece puzzle, (I’ll have the time to it) getting the soil pods ready for my seeds. I can bounce from task to task because not one has to be finished today.

It almost feels like summer break. Almost. We would normally be planning trips to the mall, or zoo, Museum, or movies. Social distancing suggests that we do not venture out unless nessessary.

Just a slow Sunday.

  1. The gift of time for me can sometimes be a curse. It seems I accomplish so much less when I have some latitude. That paragraph about loose confinement though? That says it all. Be well.
